  January 31 Meditation: Care for the Soul! God gave him wisdom and understanding and a heart as vast as the sand on the seashore (Ps 34:12). God gave in Don Bosco a shepherded for young people to lead them by knowledge and in true doctrine.   Don Bosco cared for the weak and vulnerable and brought back the lost and the least of the young people to God. He gave his life for the young and for their future. He is a man of God. He loves young people. Don Bosco cared for souls and the entire person. (Give me souls and take way the rest).     January 30 Meditation: Know Thy Self! For I know my transgressions and my sin is ever before me (Ps 51:3). Knowledge of the self is the greatest knowledge. We may know many things and know about many people and if we lack self-knowledge that is greatest ignorance. Those who know themselves are free. We never know ourselves completely. Awareness of the self and living according to the awareness of the self is key to good life. To know oneself and to accept ones good and bad sides of life and to integrate it well is also a part of knowing oneself well. Are we interested in knowing ourselves! Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

  January 29 Meditation: God Restores! Let me hear what God the LORD will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his faithful, to those who turn to him in their hearts (Ps 85:8). Humans are just waiting for blessing from God. In human pain, God’s comforting words and deeds become balm and blessing. Such time of grace is cherished in the human heart, mind and life to give unending glory to God. Are we not compelled to turn away from sin to God at his words and deeds? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

  January 28 Meditation: Be with God! I will make him firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth. I will establish his line forever, and his throne as long as the heavens endure (Ps 89:27,29). The child to be born will be the firstborn of the woman and he will be the greatest of all the kings of the earth. To be remembered forever and to live forever is Divine. Only, God’s name and will be remembered forever. Are we in the Lord? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

  January 27 Meditation: Be Bold and Be Free! Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors! that the King of glory may come in (Ps 24:7).                                                                                                                                          God is the creator of the earth and the entire universe.   Be bold for God is control. All that is in the universe belongs to the Lord. The Lord is the master of the universe. God possess the world.   Everything belongs to God and God is aware of everything. Since God is aware of everything let be bold. Are we bold? Fr Putti Anthaiah

  January 26 Meditation: Give Glory to God All the Time! O Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.   Sing to the LORD, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples (Ps 96: 1-3). Sing to God a new song.   Let every being and everyone sing to a song to the LORD. The glory of God be made known among the nations and among the people. the way to make the glory of God to be known is to live joyful lives. Those who are joyful and cheerful only can sing the glories of God. Do we declare the Glory of God? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

January 24 Meditation: God Restores! Restore us, O God; let your face shine, that we may be saved (Ps 80:3). Destruction is for construction; to build up and to develop, the Lord destroys to rebuild people, nations and persons. The Lord is the one who restores what was lost or destroyed. In the physical world, life and death, lose and gain, pain and joy are part of life like night and day and darkness and light. God’s hand will guide everyone who is in need and God saves and gives life to the full. Do we trust that God is a protractor? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb
