Be Humble!

January 23 Meditation: Be Humble! I cry to God Most High, to God who fulfils his purpose for me. He will send from heaven and save me; he will send forth his steadfast love and his faithfulness (Ps 57:2-4). Certain hard times are for the purification of others, oneself and the system; if one takes them well one fulfils the will of God. They could be means of growing in the Lord for the Lord. In any case the Lord wants one to be humble and lowly at heart in all situations of trouble. The Lord’s enduring love and faithfulness will not leave us alone in time of crisis. Do we count on the steadfast love of God? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

Do not be Afraid!

January 22 Meditation: Do not be Afraid! My enemies trample on me all day long, for many fight against me.   O Most High, when I am afraid, I put my trust in you (Ps 56:2-3). Persecution is not the story of days gone by in the history. Persecution is reality in one form or the other. Persecution in the name of religion and Divine is a mask; in fact, it is due to the ego and selfishness of humans. So, God is with everyone who is persecuted and troubled. Do not be afraid but trust in the Lord. Are we cause of persecution or manipulation? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

God Prepares Us to Wage War!

January 21 Meditation:   God Prepares Us to Wage War! Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle; my rock and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues the peoples under me (Ps 144:1-2). God prepares us for life to wage battle against enemies of life.   The greatest enemy is not the one who destroy the body but the soul and body.   The Lord as he trains us to wage battles in this life, he strengthens our will and spirit to wage the spiritual battle against the evil one. Are we aware that we are waging ongoing battle against the evil one? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

God has a Place for Us!

January 20 Meditation: God has a Place for Us! I have found my servant, David; with my holy oil I have anointed him; my hand shall always remain with him; my arm also shall strengthen him. The enemy shall not outwit him, the wicked shall not humble him. (Ps 89:20-22) God made covenant with David to be with him in all circumstances.   God’s love is special for those whom he chooses. If God places his hand on a person, that person will be kept safe and sound.   The place that is set aside by God, on the earth and life after will not be taken away by anyone. Do we accept God’s ways are special! Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

We Offer Best to God

January 19 Meditation: We Offer Best to God! I will not accept a bull from your house, or goat from your folds (Ps 50:9).  Humans have great desire to praise God and offer gifts of sacrifices to him.   The easiest way and possible ways are to offer bulls and goats from their herds and fold respectively. They are the most precious possess they have. It is easy to offer them to God, but God does not want just that but human transformed heart. We believe if the heart is transformed the life of people also will be transformed. Do we offer our hearts to God? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

Trust in God!

January 17 Meditation: Trust in God! For the king trusts in the Lord, and through the steadfast love of the Highest he shall not be moved (Ps 21:7). King is powerful in the kingdom. The king knows that he does not have the ultimate power.   The ultimate power is with God.   A Good king loves God, depends on God and leads his people to God. God upholds such a kings and loves them and makes their rule a reign of joy and peace. God does not abandon those who love him and praise his name. Do we trust in God? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

January 16 Meditation: Be on God’s Side! Then I spoke in a vision to your faithful one and said: “I have set the crown on one who is mighty, I have exalted one chosen from the people (Ps 89:19). David sinned but repented with his whole heart and mind.   The Lord had mercy on him.   He has chosen him to be forefather of the Saviour Jesus.   When God wants to bless no one can block. Even in your worst situation seek God and find favour with God. God can crown you in a manner that world envies. Do we set thing right with God.? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

Lord Saves His People!

January 15 Meditation: Lord Saves His People! You made us turn back from the foe, and our enemies have gotten spoil. You have made us like sheep for slaughter, and scattered us among the nations (Ps 44: 10-11). Lord saves his people and their nation.   God leads us back from war and spoils the enemies to destroy themselves. The people of God suffer at their enemies but the people implore God for help. To seek God’s help and to depend upon him is the sure way to win. Those who depend upon God, will never taste the failure. Do we depend upon God? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

Lord is Our Security!

January 14 Meditation: Lord is Our Security! He drew me up from the desolate pit, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure (Ps 40:2). Human beings are in need of deliverance. They are caught up with something or the other, may be evil or too much into ease that is leading them astray. One get stuck in the pit and not able to get out of the confusion of life. To such people, the Lord comes as a help and lets them come out of their confusion of life. Lord is a Saviour and protector to help one come out of confusion. Do we know that the Lord is our security? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

Thank God!

January 13 Meditation: Thank God! Hannah prayed and said, “My heart exults in the Lord; my strength is exalted in my God. My Mouth derides my enemies, because I rejoice in my victory (1 Sam 2:1). Hannah thanks God for granting her a child.   At the great works of God, human hearts and minds cannot cease but to praise God. At the cost of the enemies, one rejoices for the works of the Lord are so great. The victory that God gives is to praise him. God has to be praised. Do we thank God every day? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

God is Full of Love!

January 12 Meditation: God is Full of Love! What shall I return to the Lord for all his bounty to me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord (Ps 116: 12-13). We cannot sufficiently thank parents and for the matter even God too. Their love has no limits and their love is selfless and their only wishes good of their children. God and parents give us food and health. Those who are hungry and sick know the value of food and health respectively. God without knowing and parents in the known form feeds us and heals us. So, it is our duty to love God and show honour to our parents. Do we call God’s name to thank him. Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

Praise the Lord, the King!

January 10 Meditation: Praise the Lord, the King! Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of the faithful. Let Israel be glad in its Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King (Ps 149:1-2). A new song comes at the new idea, new joy, new hope, new life and the new song gushes forth like the water that gushes through the rocks into river. Let every human person learn to sing a new song. A song that no one sang, for everyone is specially made in the image of God. Let a song of praise and joy be on your lips, heart and mind. Do we praise God? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

Praise the Lord!

January 9 Meditation: Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem! Praise your God O Zion! For he strengthens the bars of our gates; he blesses your children within you (Ps 147:12-13). We praise God in  every place of good experience which come along with the God experience. For Israel, Jerusalem is the place of God experience for ages. He protects all those who are in the city of Jerusalem and He blesses children within the city. It is better to be in the city of God. The city of God for us is the heart of God or heaven. Do we love heaven? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

God is Redemer!

January 8 Meditation: God is Redemer! From oppression and violence, he redeems their life; and precious is their blood in his sight (Ps 72:14) Oppression without limits and a way without end to it, leads to violence.   Oppression itself is evil and the violence is extreme form of it. The Lord saves his people from oppression, violence and the bloodshed for the people are dear to him. He loves them and gathers them like hen that gathers its young form danger. Are we under oppression of any sort? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

Have Pity on the Weak

January 7 Meditation: Have Pity on the Weak! He has pity on the weak and the needy and saves the lives of the needy (Ps 72:13). The weak are suspectable to the exploitation and illness. One must have pity on them. The needy are looking for helping hand. Give your helping hand to those in need. Be sure that your help in need will save them from evil and death. Do we help those in need? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

Fear of God!

January 6 Meditation: Fear of God! From the heavens you uttered judgment; the earth feared and was still (Ps 7:8). Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. No, human judgement is final. Judgement of God alone is final. At the loving and merciful judgement of God the earth comes to stillness. Are we aware of the magnanimity of the mercy of God? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

God’s Law is Perfect!

January 5 Meditation: God’s Law is Perfect! I will tell of the decree of the Lord: He said to me, “You are my son; today I have begotten you (Ps 2:7). The Lord instructs us his laws and decreases and supports us to put them in practice. As sons and daughters, it is our responsibility to follow the laws the Lord. He keeps us close to him as his sons and daughters. The Lord’s joy is to see us follow his laws and commands as his dear children. Do we keep the laws of God? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

Let us Express Faith!

January 3 Meditation: Let us Express Faith! With trumpets and the sound of the horn make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord (98:6). The verse challenges us to think about how we express our faith. The verse in Psalm 98:6 invites us to worship with joy, gratitude, and boldness, letting our lives reflect the greatness of the King we serve. Do we celebrate God only when it’s easy, or are we willing to praise Him openly? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

God Alway Wins!

January 2 Meditation: God Alway Wins! He has remembered his steadfast love and faithfulness to the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the victory of our God (Ps 98: 3). God’s love is constant and faithful. Human love is based on advantages and usefulness. God’s love is everlasting. Ture love wishes only good of the other.   Even if one is not able to do much good; let everyone wish the good of the other. God and his ways will always have victory! Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

January 1 Meditation: Let People Praise God! Let the Peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you ( Ps 67:5). Best action or activity that human beings can do is to praise God.   The sole purpose of human beings’ life end is to be united with God for eternity.   It is the wish of great people of prayer that everyone praise God. There is joy in praising God. Happy New year 2026 What makes us happy? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb
