Meditation
If We Open the Door, the Lord
will Come to Eat with Us.
No one, rich or poor,
powerful or knowledgeable, escapes pain in life. Troubles, trials, and
suffering purify the person. They are medicinal for life and not for
destruction. Those who are purified dress in white. Purification is necessary
for sanctification. If we are lukewarm, neither cold nor hot will be spat out;
likewise, the Lord will deal with the persons of lukewarm.
The Lord says ‘Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and eat with him, and he with me.’ Those who are conquered will sit with the Father on the throne of heaven. Let us open the door for the Lord to come in and dine with us.
Are we aware that to be with
God, purification is necessary?
