Do All that is in Your Mind, for the Lord is with You.

Meditation

Do All that is in Your Mind, for the Lord is with You.

David suffered and prayed without ceasing for the wrong he had done. The Lord blessed him abundantly for his love for him. He promised Messiah to his descendants. He suppressed all his enemies and gave him a peaceful life.

The Lord promised a lot of blessings both in the world and in the next. He is the greatest on the earth. His throne is established forever on earth and in heaven. The Messiah is the everlasting king of the earth and heaven. The Lord’s blessings to those who love him are everlasting.

Do we know that the blessings of God are everlasting?

Gospel Lk 1:67-79

Meditation

Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied: “Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel because he has come to his people and redeemed them. He has raised a horn[a] of salvation for us in the house of his servant David (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago), salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us— to show mercy to our ancestors and to remember his holy covenant.  the oath he swore to our father Abraham:  to rescue us from the hand of our enemies and to enable us to serve him without fear in holiness and righteousness before him all our days. And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him, to give his people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.” (Lk 1:67-79)

Jesus is like the sun, very powerful. The Sun gives light. Jesus is the light of our life. Jesus, like the sun, dispels the darkness from the lives of people. The ancient Romans celebrated the sun god’s feast on the 25th of December. The birth of Jesus was fixed on the Roman sun god’s feast day. They have accepted Jesus Christ, the real sun of their life. We believe Jesus is the Son of God who came to cancel all our sins. So, our light of life is Jesus. Let us accept Him as the light of our life.

Do we accept Jesus as our Light and Life?
