Dance in the Presence of God!
3rd Week Tuesday of Ordinary Time
Year One
Heb 10:1-10
Meditation
Dance in the Presence of God!
The priests' offerings of the
day need to be offered for sin to be forgiven every year. Once forgiven, one’s
conscience should not weigh them down for every sin. Sin leads to evil and death.
Forgiveness of sin leads to life. Sin can be forgiven through fasts, penances
and offerings to God.
Jesus has come to forgive sins,
and his forgiveness is accomplished by doing the will of God. Jesus, by doing
the will of God, once and for all, forgave the sins of humanity. It is the will
of God that Jesus, by his obedience to the will of the Father, die and bring salvation
for eternity.
Do we believe that Jesus won
salvation once and for all for us?
Year Two
2 Sam 6:12b-15, 17-19
David was lucky to bring the Ark
of God to his city. Obed-Edom was blessed with its presence. David brought the
Ark of God to his own city to have God's blessing. While bringing the Ark of
God, he danced before it. One dances while one is exuberant and in great
happiness. He danced for the presence of God coming to be with him.
He sacrificed and offered to
bring the ark of God. He loved the Lord much, and his blessings were with him.
He celebrated the coming of the ark by distributing the food to the people.
There was a grand celebration in the presence of the ark of God. It is true
that there will be dancing and celebration in God's presence.
Do we have so much joy as to
dance in the presence of God?
Gospel: Mk 3:31-35
Then his mother and his brothers came; and
standing outside, they sent to him and called him. A crowd was sitting around him; and they said
to him, ‘Your mother and your brothers and sisters are outside, asking for
you.’ And he replied, ‘Who are my mother
and my brothers?’ And looking at those who sat around him, he said, ‘Here are
my mother and my brothers! Whoever does the will of God is my brother and
sister and mother (Mk 3:31-35).
Whoever we may be to God or anyone,
we must live according to God’s Will. God created Humans for a purpose. Living
according to the purpose is doing God’s Will. God’s Will is God’s plan for us.
When we live according to God's will, we will be happy.
God’s Will is revealed to us
through the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. We need to know it, follow it, seek
it, discern it, and live it. However, we may fail to know God’s will and take
the wrong path. In case of need, we can seek the help of Spiritual Directors or
Wise people. When we do what God wants us to do, then we will be happy and
holy.
Do I seek the will of God?
