Forgive Yourself and Be Kind to yourself!

3rd Week Wednesday of Ordinary Time

Year One

Heb 10:11-18

Meditation

Forgive Yourself and Be Kind to yourself!

Jesus once and for all offered the sacrifice and is now seated at the right hand of God. He is waiting for the enemy's fall and eternal life for all creation. It is true that Jesus has reconciled humanity with God once and for all. God has reconciled us to the Father, and we can be set free. We are liberated people of the Lord.

We remember our sins; in fact, the memory of sins is a blessing so that we do not fall and fail again. The Lord promised us that he would no longer remember our sins. It seems like a paradox: God forgets our sins, and we remember them. Forgiving oneself is a gift to oneself, and faith to trust in his promises.

Do we forgive ourselves?

Year Two

2 Sam 7:4-17

God speaks to David through Nathan to build a house for him. God felt the necessity of a place for him. God lets David know through the prophet Nathan his desire to have a temple built for him. God's presence needs a place where everyone can go and feel the presence of God.

A House of God is needed for people's stability, unity, prosperity, blessing, and protection. By asking for a house for himself, God communicates that he has come to dwell with his people to ensure his presence and protection. He promised David and his family his faithfulness, unlike in the case of King Saul. God is a faithful God, and his mercy is unending.

Do we long to build the House of God?

Gospel: Mk 16:15-18

And he said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation. The one who believes and is baptized will be saved, but the one who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: by using my name, they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes in their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover (Mk 16:15-18).’

The feet of those who preach the word of God are beautiful. A call to preach the Gospel is an invitation, and it is also a duty of every believer.

A person is a person because of his beliefs. If you believe and love God, you will always like to proclaim Him to everyone. The ministers of the Word are given privileges for the mission that is given to them. They will not be harmed. They will be taken care.

If you consider yourself a believer in Jesus, then you have the responsibility to preach the message of Christ.
