Meditation
Remember the Time of Struggle!
It is good to recall the times of
struggle and the way we overcame them, the endurance we had in moments of
hardship to choose right and do good. Therefore, we should have confidence. Let
no one lose confidence in oneself and God, who will assist us in time of need.
We should not shrink or be hesitant but have faith and preserve in life. In times
of trouble, endurance, Constance, and fortitude should keep moving with faith.
Do we recall the times of struggle?
Year Two
2 Sam 11:1-10, 13-17
David is
tempted and commits adultery with Bathsheba. It was not by chance but well
contemplated. Even eliminating Uriah the Hittite, the husband of Bathsheba. Yet time some sins of humans are contemplated.
They are done knowingly and willingly under the evil one. The evil and the
weakness of human beings lead them to mortal sin. The only beautiful part of David's
sin is when he realizes he wept, and God’s mercy blesses him.
Do we
realise our faults, failures and sins?
Gospel: Mk 4:26-34
He also said, ‘With what can we
compare the kingdom of God, or what parable will we use? It is like a mustard
seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on
earth; yet when it is sown, it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs
and puts forth large branches so that the birds of the air can make nests in
its shade (MK 4:30-32).
The kingdom of God is like a
master seed; when it grows as a plant, it gives shelter to many. The Kingdom of
God’s beginning is humble. It welcomes all into it, gives shelter to all, and
comforts all. Blessed are those who enter into the circle of the kingdom of God
and are agents of builders of the kingdom of God. Let the reign of God be amidst
us.
Do I foster unity on earth for
the kingdom of God?
