Wisdom will Teach!
24th February 2025
7th Week Monday of Ordinary Time
Year One
Sir 1:1-8
Meditation
Wisdom teaches everything. Who has taught wisdom to God? The sea, sand, and
water—what a wonder they are. The thought of eternity and life and life to
come. Life is a mystery to be contemplated and known, and we never know
completely. The only one who knows is sitting above; to him, we need to fear
and entrust everything. The wisdom of God in making the universe and all that
is in it is not easy to comprehend.
How great
is the Wisdom of God?
Year Two
Jas 3:13-18
Meditation
Can any one of us say that we are wise? It is not a question
of knowing who is wise or unwise among us but a question of asking to be wise
and making a prudent choice to be wise. It is always good to ask good questions
and question ourselves. Nobody likes to be questioned, but blessed and lucky
are the people who ponder people's questions and work on their lives.
Envy leads to all sorts of evils in life. Those who possess
envy will have selfish ambitions with disorder and evil practices. Those with
wisdom from above will be pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of
mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
Peacemakers will bear much fruit for the kingdom of God.
What do we do with our envy?
Gospel Mk 9: 14-29
He said to them, ‘This kind can
come out only through prayer (Mk 9:29).
The way to deliver the devil is
through prayer. We all know that in prayer, we are in the presence of God. When
we are in the presence of God, there is union with God and communion with God.
At that state, a human person is filled with divine power and grace. In such a
state, one can order the devils to leave the possessed persons, and the devil
will obey; the power of God is at work.
The disciples could not deliver
the person because they needed much prayer. Jesus delivered people from the
devil because he was in communion with God. Jesus has the power to deliver us
from evil forces. Let us make up our minds and leave behind all that is evil.
Do you believe that in prayer, we
are filled with divine grace?
