Depend Upon God!

It is better to trust God than human beings. The word of God says cursed be the one who trusts and depends on humans. Human beings are known for betrayal and unfaithfulness. It is not a pessimistic view of humans; but there is grain of truth in it.  Depending upon humans instead of God is a blow to the person.

As we live in the world, we regard persons and sometimes totally rely on them instead of depending upon God. In other words we give the place of God to human beings. We are led and guided by God and not by any human being. We need to trust in God and his goodness. The Lord knows each one and he gives the reward what each one deserves. One should trust in God.

On whom do I depend?

Gospel: Lk 16:19-31

Meditation

Riches and enjoyment of good things in life do not guarantee eternal life. Eternal life is given to the humble and those who had struggles in life and live faithful to God. If one enjoys good things of life without responsibility towards others, they may not be rewarded with Eternal life. One may enter eternal fire, and one may not be able to enter heaven.

There is a great chasm between heaven and hell; nobody can go to help them. The way to enter into heaven is to be charitable in word and deed. Let us practice charity always; especially in this time of lent.

God Reveals Himself to those Whom He Loves~

  30 December 2024 1Jn2:12-17 Meditation St John is writing to fathers, children, and young people to free them from the evils of life because of Jesus. He tells them not to love the world and those who are passing. Humans are more passionate about the temporary things of life. They are not attracted to lasting ones that give peace and Joy. The desires of the flesh, the attraction of the eyes, and the pride that comes from the world's riches do not belong to the Father in heaven. Those things that belong to God, heaven, and eternity give us lasting joy, peace, and happiness. They call for commitment and sacrifice on the part of individuals. Suffering for the cause of God and doing great things for the Lord is no avail. It may not make one perfect in life. Doing great things for God without God’s hand and his way is useless.
