Follow the Lord’s Commands!

Deut 26:16-19
Follow the Lord’s Commands
Meditation
God gives us laws to follow.
Those who follow the law will be happy. Those who follow God's law will have
eternal life. The law of God is God’s love rule. God is love, and the manner of
love of God has a way, procedure and style. Those who follow the love of the
Lord will live by the law of God and the law of the people. The experience of
God’s goodness and his love is deep within those who live by the law of God.
The law of God will teach many
things. The law of God is only revealed in its fullness to those who love God.
Those who keep the law are faithful to God and faithful in their human
relationship with others. One does not need special training in the law to know
the law of the Lord. It is a gift that is given by God to all those who have
goodwill to love the Lord and to live well.
Do we love the law of the Lord?
Gospel: Mt 5:43-48
Meditation
"You have heard that it was
said, 'You shall love your neighbour and hate your enemy.' But I say to you,
Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be
children of your Father in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and
the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. What reward do you have if you love those who love you? Do not even the tax collectors do
the same? And if you greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you
doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? Be perfect, therefore,
as your heavenly Father is perfect (Mt 5:43-48).
God has no double standards; all
are equal for him. He gives equal treatment to all. He provides things of
nature to all alike. We create differences, and we perpetuate them knowingly or unknowingly. If we learn from God and follow the gospel values, all would have enough and more in every way, especially love, joy, and peace. Let us be aware that God is not partial; we become partial in our approach to others and let injustice transpire.
Do we avoid the partiality in our
administration?
