God Loves You to Have a Pure Heart!

2nd Week of Lent Tuesday

Isa 1:10, 16-20

Meditation

God loves You to Have a Pure Heart!

It is good to know that the Lord is not pleased with us. Human beings run into different kinds of problems with others and against God. They do harm to themselves, and others and thus dishonour to God. Humans do not fall into sin in one instance. It is a gradual fall into a sinful life. God is not happy with the sinful life of the people. Human beings are gradually drawn to evil and evil ways. They wish to perpetuate evil and sinful practices.

God is holy and perfect. He wishes the same for humanity. God gives humans ample chances to change. He eagerly waits for them to change their ways, change their mind and change their heart for the better. No sin of human beings is too much for God to forgive. Humans have to know that they are in sin, and they should desire to transform themselves and be ready to take the appropriate care to overcome sin and live in purity of heart. God will make a sinful heart which is like red, crimson, and scarlet, as pure and white as snow.

Do you trust that God wants you to have a pure heart?

Gospel: Mt 23:1-12

Meditation

The greatest among you will be your servant. All who exalt themselves will be humbled, and all who humble themselves will be exalted (Mt 23:11-12).

Very few people choose simplicity and humble life. There is a desire in everyone to be great in the eyes, and thoughts of the people and world. Anything big is an attraction but small is not recognized. In fact, the big will be noticed and gone but the small and littleness of things in life are major parts of life.

Simplicity, humility, lowliness and littleness make lasting impacts on the lives of people and transform the people and world for the better. Let us choose humble and lowly options for a better impact on the kingdom of God.

Do you enjoy the humble and lowly moments of life?
