2nd Week of Lent Wednesday

Jer 18:18-20

Meditation

Evil is intended for God’s messagers. Good people are a block for the evil and to evil ways of people. The only way for those who continue in evil is to do away with good people. On getting rid of God’s people,  then only the evil-doers can live in sin. If not the messengers of God are a block and obstruction to their evil ways. It is nothing new what has happened to the prophet Jeremiah. They dug a pit for him to destroy him.

On the contrary prophet Jeremiah prayed and pleaded with the Lord from his wrath on the people. The prophets and messengers of God wish for the good of the sinners and evil ones. The prophets are full of God’s spirit, and they can only be models of God’s love for humanity. It is because of their goodness that evil is overcome, and sinners return to God at the end of their evil ways.

Meditation

Read today's Word of God. Power is given by God it cannot be bought or forced to get it.  Authority and power are necessary to ensure good administration. Many people seek authority and power for respect and self-motive. Authority is for the service of the other. It should enable and empower the powerless and weak; instead, power is used to force upon and suppress the subordinates.

Such a use of power will not bear fruit in the service of God. Authority with ego and pride can destroy, instead of serving.  All do have some sort of authority or power, so it is to beware and to be careful in the use of the power of the Kingdom of God.

Do we use authority for the common good or personal good?

Happy Feast of St Joseph

St Joseph is a Just man. He loved Jesus and Mary. He was a trusted servant of God. He did God's will. He protected the Jesus and Mary. He protects the Church and each one of us. From students to the workers in the workshop, they love him and imitate him for his meekness and gentleness at work.

Forgive Yourself and Be Kind to yourself!

  3rd Week Wednesday of Ordinary Time Year One Heb 10:11-18 Meditation Forgive Yourself and Be Kind to yourself! Jesus once and for all offered the sacrifice and is now seated at the right hand of God. He is waiting for the enemy's fall and eternal life for all creation. It is true that Jesus has reconciled humanity with God once and for all. God has reconciled us to the Father, and we can be set free. We are liberated people of the Lord. We remember our sins; in fact, the memory of sins is a blessing so that we do not fall and fail again. The Lord promised us that he would no longer remember our sins.   3 rd February 2024 4th Week: Ordinary Time Monday Heb 11:32-40 Mediations Let us Go on God's Way! Great men and women in the history of God’s plan suffered. Suffering for the cause of God and doing great things for the Lord is no avail. It may not make one perfect in life. Doing great things for God without God’s hand and his way is useless.
