Do I Test Just People?

Just men\women are seen as a problem by many and even the so-called good people. Just people are a block to the unjust and evil persons. Just persons are like swords in their mind and heart. Evil people cannot bear the sight of the just. It so happens the unjust trouble the just. It could be severe treatment to the good by the unjust people.

The trials that are given to the just men/women are like tests to see if the just people are true; they want to have pleasure in causing pain to just people. God makes use of the unjust to justify the righteous more and more and prove their holiness and goodness. Like Job, the just people will win the test and trials of the unjust. God makes them just as his beloved children. God’s strength is manifested in just people. The evil people are put to shame and learn from them to turn to God.

How often do I test just people?

Gospel: Jn 7:1-2, 10,25-30

Meditation

Now some of the people of Jerusalem were saying, "Is not this the man whom they are trying to kill? And here he is, speaking openly, but they say nothing to him! Can it be that the authorities really know that this is the Messiah? Yet we know where this man is from; but when the Messiah comes, no one will know where he is from." Then Jesus cried out as he was teaching in the temple, "You know me, and you know where I am from. I have not come on my own. But the one who sent me is true, and you do not know him. I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me." Then they tried to arrest him, but no one laid hands on him, because his hour had not yet come. Yet many in the crowd believed in him and were saying, "When the Messiah comes, will he do more signs than this man has done?" (Jn 7:25-30).

Jesus is telling us that he came from the Father. The Father has sent him. He has not come by himself. The one who sent it is God himself. Jesus says we do not know him. It is true that we do not know God. As human beings, we will not be able to know God.  We only know something that God is there and he is the author of our life and destiny. We will not be able to know conclusively about the Divine. We know that God is revealed in the person of Jesus. Jesus testified to God and showed God’s love by dying for us on the cross.

Do we believe that Jesus has manifested God to us?
