Do you Play the Game of Victim?

Do you Play the Game of Victim?
It has been the story of Jeramiah
that he was rejected and persecuted. He was faithful to God and his word, and God
has not abandoned him. Though the troubles caused to him were untold, he
prevailed over every form of persecution and the persecutors. He was the
victim. He has not just played the role of victim, but he took responsibility
and taught them the way of the Lord. He taught them that the Lord is his
rescuer and the rescuer of those who are troubling him.
Most of the time, we play the game
of victim; that all causes pain in the neck. There will always be troubles in
life. It is up to each individual to take up one’s daily course of struggles
and move ahead with hope in the Lord. The Lord offers chances and provides possibilities for bettering the situation and life. Let us hope in the Lord in all
grim situations of life.
Are you a persecutor, victim or
rescuer?

Meditation
The Jews took up stones again to stone
him. Jesus replied, "I have shown
you many good works from the Father. For which of these are you going to stone
me?" The Jews answered, "It is
not for a good work that we are going to stone you, but for blasphemy, because
you, though only a human being, are making yourself God." Jesus answered,
"Is it not written in your law, 'I said, you are gods'? If those to whom the word of God came were
called 'gods' — and the scripture cannot be annulled — can you say that the one whom the Father has
sanctified and sent into the world is blaspheming because I said, 'I am God's
Son'? If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me. But if
I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, so that you
may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the
Father." Then they tried to arrest
him again, but he escaped from their hands (Jn 10:31-39).
As the life of Jesus on earth has
come to an end. He began to speak about his communion and union with God. He is
not human alone; he is Divine. He is God himself. He himself rightly says, ‘I am
God’s Son. The people did not understand Jesus; they took him for granted, they treated Jesus badly, and they dealt with him harshly, even to the extent of doing
away with him.
How often do we do away with people who speak the truth?
