EASTER 2025

All Things New.  “He seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’ Revelation 21:5.

1. NEW TECHNOLOGY

While the Bible doesn’t mention “technology” as we know it, it does speak of wisdom, innovation, and tools for God's purpose:

“And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.” Exodus 31:3-5 (NIV). “Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.” Daniel 12:4 (NIV)

We live in the most advanced age of AI. It can help or harm humans. Whatever technical invention one may have, one should remember that we are created in God's image. We need to respect ourselves and others because God's image is in us. Any action we take against humans and God that destroys God's image is dangerous and harmful.

God is the source of all wisdom, including creativity and invention.  Exodus 31:3-5; Daniel 12:4. In the resurrection, Jesus doesn't just redeem souls—He redeems purpose, work, and even tools. From the Tabernacle to digital missions today, technology can be a vessel for the gospel. Let the resurrection power influence how we use innovation—online, in AI, in engineering—to reflect Christ’s wisdom and purpose.

2. NEW WATER

Symbolizing spiritual renewal, cleansing, and life. “But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”John 4:14 (NIV) “...so where the river flows everything will live.” Ezekiel 47:9 (NIV). From the vision of water flowing from the Temple—a powerful image of healing and restoration.

John 4:14; Ezekiel 47:9. Easter brings living water that cleanses and revives. Jesus, the resurrected Savior, offers a new source of life that never runs dry. Like the water from the temple in Ezekiel’s vision, His Spirit flows and brings life wherever it goes. Let the resurrection water renew our inner lives—drink deeply from His Spirit, not from the world.

Water reminds us of a basic life-giving source. It reminds us of baptism, which purifies our sins. New water gives life. New water transforms us into better people. The Lord is the one who cleanses us. We need to pass through the river Jordan and be baptised in it like the people of Israel and believers in Jesus, thus purifying us to be acceptable children of God.

3. NEW FIRE

Fire often symbolizes the Holy Spirit, purification, and divine presence. “They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit...” Acts 2:3-4 (NIV). “For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver…” Malachi 3:2-3 (NIV)

Acts 2:3-4; Malachi 3:2-3. The fire of the Spirit purifies and empowers. After resurrection comes Pentecost—Jesus doesn’t just rise, He sends fire. This fire is not to destroy but to refine, to set hearts ablaze with purpose. Don’t just celebrate Easter—carry its fire. Be ignited again with a holy boldness to witness and worship.

Fire burns and purifies. It pushes us to renewal and newness of life. Fire is the symbol of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God burns in us to move towards good and choose good against evil. Let us become aware of the presence of the fire of God in us and work to be loving children of a loving God.

4. NEW EARTH AND NEW HEAVEN

God’s promise of a renewed, eternal creation. “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away...” Revelation 21:1 (NIV) “See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.” Isaiah 65:17 (NIV)

Resurrection points to a final renewal of all creation. Revelation 21:1; Isaiah 65:17. Easter is not just a moment—it’s a preview of eternity. Through Christ’s victory over death, we see the beginning of a new world where death, pain, and sin are gone.  Live with hope. Let the promise of a new creation give you peace and courage to endure now.

One day, we will realise that there is a new earth and a new heaven. We long for a new earth and a new heaven, where there will be justice, equality, fraternity, and liberty. We long for the kingdom of God in our families, in our communities, and in the world. Let us live the Kingdom values taught by Jesus. Let us love God and love others without any condition. Humans are made to love and live in love, not in hate and enmity.

5. NEW PRAYER

Prayer that aligns with the new covenant, Spirit-led and transformational.  “...the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.” Romans 8:26 (NIV). “In that day, you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name... Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.” John 16:23-24 (NIV).

Because of the resurrection, we now pray in power and intimacy. Romans 8:26; John 16:23-24. The veil is torn—prayer is no longer ritual, but relationship. The Spirit helps us pray when we can’t find words. We pray not to a distant God but to a risen Saviour. Approach the throne with boldness. Pray in the Spirit. Speak resurrection truth in your prayers. Jesus didn’t just rise to give us a new religion—He rose to make everything new. New hearts, minds, tools, hope, and future. Step into resurrection life. Let Him renew every part of you—your work, worship, and world. Let our prayer be Alleluia and Praise the Lord, for the Lord is Alive among us.

HAPPY EASTER!
