Do We Compromise on the Message of Jesus?

Do We Compromise on the Message of Jesus?
Timothy's Father was Greek and
mother a Jewish. Such marriage unions are not rare in the history of the world.
God has a message for the fanatic attitude of the people. Timothy's parents are
models for the new world order and new human society that is emerging. Change is gradual; let us accept it. God loves
everyone as they are and gives them a possibility to work for his/her
salvation.
Timothy was circumcised and taken
along with Paul to preach the gospel. The circumcision was the custom, and Paul
followed the custom not to give trouble to the believers. We know Paul preached
that circumcision is not a must for gentile believers. Circumcised or
uncircumcised, but the faith in Jesus is
important. One needs to believe in Jesus and live by the word of Jesus. Jesus’
message is to be lived in reality to have life in Jesus.
Are we ready to live by the
message of Jesus without any compromise?
Gospel: Jn 15:18-21
Meditation
Jesus tells his disciples that if the
world hated me, it will hate you too. You are of the world, and the world will love
you. If you are not of the world, the world will hate you. No servant is greater
than his master. The world persecuted me, so it will do the same to you. If anyone has kept my word, they will keep your word too. The world will behave
exactly the way it had been with me. Do not be surprised and sad if these
things happen to you. They do things against you, for they do not know that I
have come from God.
Do we dare to witness to God and thereby be
willing to suffer persecution?
