Do we Clarify Matters with Others!
Meditation
Moses made a covenant with God and made an ark for him. They were carrying the ark with them in the desert. The cloud would rest on the ark during the day and night as fire. When the cloud moved, they used to move or set out on a journey towards the promised land. He led them by pillar of cloud and fire in the desert. God is a good guide. He led people of all ages. God has made a covenant with people. He made them, and he loves them.
He wants
the well-being of humanity and every person. There is guidance from God as a
community and individual. We need to accept the guidance of God. God has given us so much freedom if we are unwilling to be guided by God; he lets us be free.
God is the God of freedom. We need to be led by God. God will not speak to us face
to face. We need to be led by those who are near and dear to us. Let us pray to
the spirit that we may make our life journey by God's guidance.
Do we abandon ourselves to the
goodness of God to guide us?
Year Two
Jer 26:1-9
The message of the Lord comes to
human beings in varied ways. The message does not come in abstract form. Most
people are not able to listen to and understand the message of God. They are
immersed in their world of passions and evils. In such a situation, they lose
the message of the Lord. What could we do to avoid making the same mistake as our
ancestors?
The best care we can take in
times of trouble is to listen to someone close to us. Simple people may not
have all the wisdom to guide us. They may not be educated, qualified and gifted, but they will have the basic sense to tell the person in trouble to do what is
right. Let us look for people to support us in times of trouble.
Do we take the little confusion
to others for clarification?
Mt 13:47-53
He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of
the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of
a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.” (Mt
13:53).
Preachers and teachers are chosen
and graced by God. Today, we need to
walk the talk. The young people today need life witnesses. The practical life
is more important than so much theory. The saints are such a kind of people. We
have a living example of people who serve God by suffering and yet are faithful
to God. They teach the love of God to us
by loving God in spite of their physical sufferings.
Do our lives bring out new
treasures of Jesus for people?
