Meditation
Mary Assumed into Heaven!
A virgin birth is something
impossible and only Divinely possible. Today the people of the AI generation do
believe in the virgin birth. It is right and proper that God be born of a
virgin. The woman is chosen and protected from original sin. The child to be
born of her will rule the world. God becomes human through the mediation of
women. God will protect the woman who gives birth to the Divine child.
The mother who gives birth will
be a privileged woman. She becomes the mother of the Divine child and the
mother of God. The mother of God shares in the life of the Saviour and
Redeemer. Her involvement is not over with the giving birth. She continues her
mission, but her son wants her aid in his saving action. Jesus loved his mother
and did not allow her body to be corrupted. He assumes her into heaven body and
soul.
Do we believe that we will be
with God, Mother Mary in heaven?

God has Called Us to Eternity!
St Paul
affirms the resurrection of Christ as the "first fruits" of those who
have died. He contrasts Adam, through whom death came into the world, with
Christ, through whom resurrection and life come. Paul then outlines a divine
order: Christ is raised first, then those who belong to Him, and finally, the
end will come when Christ hands over the kingdom to God the Father after
defeating all powers and death itself.
Christ’s
resurrection is a guarantee of our future. In moments of grief, fear of death,
or uncertainty about the future, this truth brings real hope. It's not just
about life after death but about living now with the assurance of victory. Paul
looks ahead to when Christ will destroy every opposing rule and authority,
including death the last enemy. Then, He will hand the kingdom back to God the
Father so that “God may be all in all.” This reminds us that history is moving
toward a divine purpose. God is not only redeeming individuals but also
restoring creation. Our faith isn't just personal but it’s cosmic.
Do we
live with this big-picture perspective in mind?
Lk 1:39-56
And blessed is she who believed that there
would be a fulfilment of what was spoken to her by the Lord.” (Lk 1:45).
Mary is blessed because she
believed in the promise of God. God
promised her through angel Gabriel that she would become mother of the Son of
God. Mary believed it in its totality. She trusted in God. Many people, today,
lack belief, trust and faith. The world
is no safer place; because lot of cheating is taking place among the people.
When something impossible is asked of Mary she believed in the Lord. Her faith
is noteworthy. It does not come naturally; it needs faith coupled with grace of
God. Mary had both faith and grace of God; that is why she was able to say to
the Lord “let your will be done.” The act of surrender to God is ultimate
purpose of life.
Do I place my trust in the Lord?
