God
Gives Hope in Dark Time!
There
are moments when words fail, when our hearts are heavy, our prayers uncertain,
and we simply don’t know what to say. Paul tells us that even in those moments,
the Holy Spirit prays within us, expressing our deepest needs in a language
beyond words. God understands the silent cries of our hearts. “All things work
together for good for those who love God.” This doesn’t mean everything that
happens is good. Pain, loss, and suffering are real. But God can weave even
those painful threads into something that leads to growth, faith, and
redemption. Trusting this truth gives us hope even in dark times.
St Paul
shows the grand arc of salvation: foreknown, predestined, called, justified,
glorified. This reminds us that God’s love is not accidental; it is intentional
and enduring. From the beginning, God’s plan has been to shape us into the
image of Christ, so that we may share in His glory and become part of His
family. We are not random or forgotten. We are known, called, and loved by God.
The Spirit within us and the purpose before us are proof that our lives have
meaning, even when the path isn’t clear.
Do we
trust all will be good at the end?
Eph 6:1-9
Choose Obedience Instead of
Austerities!
Children are asked to obey their
parents; slaves are asked to obey their masters and masters are asked to obey
their authority. No one has ultimate authority or power. We are all in service
and power or authority. We obey those who are placed in authority over us. We
obey each other for a good cause. We have one master Jesus whom we are to obey.
Today we would like to do our
will and wish than to follow someone. God’s will and way are made known to us
through the Word of God. God demands obedience and yet times in the daily
happenings of life that are both good and painful. God leads us to love him and
obey him. God knows what is best for us as a Father.
Do we obey those who are placed
over us?
Lk 13:22-30
Choose Narrow Way!
Jesus went through one town and
village after another, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem. Someone asked
him, “Lord, will only a few be saved?” He said to them, “Strive to enter
through the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not
be able. Once the owner of the house has
got up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the
door, saying, ‘Lord, open to us,’ then in reply he will say to you, ‘I do not
know where you come from.’ Then you will
begin to say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’ But
he will say to you, ‘I do not know where you come from; go away from me, all
you evildoers!’ There will be weeping
and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the
prophets in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrown out. Then people will come from east and west,
from north and south, and take their places at the banquet in the kingdom of
God. Indeed, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be
last.” (Lk 13:22-30).
The knowledge of Christ and being
Christian, is not enough to be saved. We need to follow the teachings of Christ
and live as good Christians. It is not enough to say Lord, Lord, to be saved
but put into practice every word of Jesus. Familiarity with Jesus is not enough
to be saved but practice of virtue is needed to be saved.
Do you take the narrow gate of
putting God's Word into practice to be saved?
