Mission for All!
God chose Jesus to bring salvation to humans. It is accomplished by different people in the history of the world and the mission goes on through the election and actualization of mission command of Jesus. St Paul was chosen by God to be apostle of the gospel of God to all and particularly to those who are not Jews. Everyone is called for the mission of Christ. The one who follows Jesus cannot but be a missionary.
Following Jesus is two-fold path one is personal and the other is of community sanctification. The person one who is called to follow Jesus and the others who are in relation to him are immersed not only in the cares of the world but in the mission of Jesus. The mission of Jesus is Salvation of humans. Working out salvation for humans is not one day work but it is life long, enduring work of God and the those who accompany them as persons and community would be in heaven forever with God.
What is the mission you are at?

Be Sons of Promised Mother!
Abraham had a son through Hagar,
a slave girl. Abraham had another son through Sarah. He had two sons, Ismael
and Isaac. Ismael was born of Hagar, and Isaac was born of Sarah. One was born
of the flesh, and another was born of the promise of God. One was born of a
slave woman, and another was born of a free woman.
Both the sons are sons of
Abraham. They are of the two covenants—the sons of slavery and Jerusalem. We
are sons of God and also slaves of sin and slavery. One has to be the child of
God and free and not a slave of sin. There is a choice to be sons of God and be
free. Yet time we choose to be sons of slaves. Let us overcome our inclinations
of flesh and be sons of the promised mother.
Do we live as Sons of promised
mothers?
Lk 11:29-32
Joy Comes after Pain!
When the crowds were increasing, he began to
say, “This generation is an evil generation; it asks for a sign, but no sign
will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.
For just as Jonah became a sign to the people of Nineveh, so the Son of
Man will be to this generation (Lk 11:29-30).
Jonah was a sign for the
generations of that time, even today Jonah is the sign for this generation. The
human nature has not changed. The essence of human beings is same as of those
days. Though today we see many wonders worked by the Lord among us, still we
look for a sign from the Lord. The ultimate sign Jesus gave for the people of
that time was the sign of Jonah which signifies the life of Jesus in the womb
of the earth for three days, as Jonah was in the belly of the fish for three
days. After three days of struggle and hardships Jonah reached right way to
Nineveh and Jesus rose to life, never more to die. There will be joy and glory
after every hardship.
Do I expect for signs from God in
my daily life?
