Meditation
The Glorious
Future of Judah!
In the
scripture the prosperity and blessing of the Lord are connected to abundance of
milk, wine, honey and water. We believe
and teach that these things will be plenty in heaven. These are expensive
commodities. These are part of precious food of the human persons. This food is
liked by most of the people. God gives us best when he blesses us. The way God
blesses us is through giving milk, wine, honey and water. These give life, joy
and satisfaction in life. These and many other good things of life will be
available in the kingdom of God. We can make the kingdom of God come among us
by sharing what we have with one another and thus living in joy and happiness
wherever we live.
Do we believe
that we have God given power to establish the Kingdom of God?
Year Two
Gal 3:22-29
We are Made One in Christ!
There is neither Jew nor Gentile,
neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in
Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs
according to the promise. (Gal 3: 28-29).
The child is attached to its
parents for care and protection. We are children of God and need to be
connected to God. As God's children, we enjoy the privilege of sons and
daughters of the Father in heaven. We are united and not divided. There are
many forces in the world to divide humans. Let us be united in Christ.
Do we look to be united in
Christ?
Lk 11:27-28
Obey!
While he was saying this, a woman in the crowd
raised her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you and the
breasts that nursed you!” But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the
word of God and obey it!”( Lk 11:27-28)
Our Blessed mother is the one who
took close care of Jesus. The mothers know all about their children. Children
are formed in mother's womb and they nurse them. We say a teacher knows the
students’ capacity for knowledge. We can say without any hesitation that a
mother knows her child very well. In a way the child also comes to know the
tender loving care of the mother. The knowledge of the mother about the child
and child’s experience of mother builds a relationship between them. We know that Jesus knows her Mother Mary well
that he could say in public without any reluctance that ‘Blessed are those who
hear the Word of God and obey it.’ The invitation for all of us is to hear the
Word of God and put it into practice. Jesus is the fruit of her hearing Word
and putting it into practice. Mary first bore Jesus in her mind and heart then
only in her womb.
Are we able to hear the Word of
God and obey it?
