The Power of the Gospel!
Meditation
Beliefs in life are very important in determining fact of life. Faith is what makes one’s life. Faith in God, Son of God and Holy Spirit makes the life of a believer meaningful. In the history of the world there rose many men and women of faith to the extent of working for the gospel their entire life and even dying as martyrs. Faith in Jesus made them cross forests, mountains, rivers, oceans, races and clans to proclaim the message of Jesus. Those who live and preach gospel are people filled with faith in Jesus. This faith filled persons are righteous and they live by faith in Jesus. No one can block them. for they are filled with faith in Jesus. Jesus is their Saviour, Master and Lord, they lack nothing. Those who have no faith in Jesus enter into life of impurity, life of lies, server false gods rather than the Creator. May we bless the Lord Jesus and live righteous life by faith in Jesus.
Are we aware in our carelessness may worship false gods of life?
Year Two
Gal 5:1-6
Are We Led by Law or Love?
Every religion has good traditions, customs, and practices. Jews practice circumcision. It is a sign of the covenant with God and has health benefits. It has become a good sign of the relationship between God and Jews. At the coming of Jews and the Apostles, society was divided between circumcised and uncircumcised.
It is not necessary to be circumcised to follow Jesus. Baptism in the Lord is enough. Above all, one needs faith and love in Jesus to be his followers. Faith and love are the guiding signs of Christianity. Jesus came to proclaim faith in the Father and love of the other.
Do we follow the law or the love of God?
Lk 11:37-41
Sharing is Gift of God!
While he was speaking, a Pharisee invited him to dine with him, so he went in and took his place at the table. The Pharisee was amazed to see that he did not first wash before dinner. Then the Lord said to him, “Now you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness. You fools! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also? So give as alms those things that are within and then everything will be clean for you (Lk 11:37-41).
Charity is taught and is learned. Those who practice charity are happy. For some people charity is hard, for they are happy to gather things for themselves. They seek security in things. In fact, we are told to do charity, not only from our abundance but also from our nothingness. Charity is love. Charity purifies our wealth. It not only purifies external property but also purifies within. In special occasions we are told to do charity, and we feel happy about it. Giving makes happy and joyful. It is not merely because of our giving some one benefits and is happy, it also gives us inner fulfilment that we have given part of us for the wellbeing of others. The more we give and share the more we will be happy.
When did you give or share something that you have with others?
