For I am God, and not a Human

Israel was a little child that God loved. As the child grew he nurtured for good. The child is unfaithful and ungrateful by going after other gods. The love of God was put test and the Love of God was wounded. God cares for us as a mother and cares for her child. Children and yet time those who receive love are ungrateful. So were the people of Israel.

Though we speak of God and his love in terms of human love of beloved and mother. God is not just that love. He is beyond and loves humans with unconditional love. ‘For I am God and not a man-the Holy One among you’. Can we comprehend the Divine Love? It is impossible only to some extent we can come to know it from the love of the parents and dear ones. Let us learn from the love of the elders and love in return to make God’s love real.

Do we express love for someone and for their wellbeing?

  3 rd February 2024 4th Week: Ordinary Time Monday Heb 11:32-40 Mediations Let us Go on God's Way! Great men and women in the history of God’s plan suffered. Suffering for the cause of God and doing great things for the Lord is no avail. It may not make one perfect in life. Doing great things for God without God’s hand and his way is useless. One has to suffer rightly for the cause of God, and it is God who gives us perfection through his grace. It is not that we have gained perfection through our efforts.   3rd Week Tuesday of Ordinary Time Year One Heb 10:1-10 Meditation Dance in the Presence of God! The priests' offerings of the day need to be offered for sin to be forgiven every year. Once forgiven, one’s conscience should not weigh them down for every sin. Sin leads to evil and death. Forgiveness of sin leads to life. Sin can be forgiven through fasts, penances and offerings to God. Jesus has come to forgive sins, and his forgiveness is accomplished by doing the will of God. Jesus, by doing the will of God, once and for all, forgave the sins of humanity. It is the will of God that Jesus, by his obedience to the will of the Father, die and bring salvation for eternity.
