Meditation
“Here am I. Send me!”
“We know that the Lord is
holy no one can become as holy as God. We remain human and sinful. At the sight
and thought of holiness of God Isaiah says: “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am
ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of
unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the
King, the Lord Almighty.” Then one of the
seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with
tongs from the altar. He touched my mouth and said, “See, this has
touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.” Then
I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who
will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
We are unworthy of God’s
blessings and God’s goodness. We have sinned in word and deed. We have no hope
to be holy and to do the service to the Lord. The mercy and goodness of God purified us to be acceptable to the Lord and sent out with a willingness to do his
mission. The mission belongs to the Lord, and we are just fragile instruments of
God. Let us be able instruments of the Lord in his hands.
Are you ready to be sent
on a mission to save?
