Humility Unites

St Paul humbles himself to exhort the community of believers to maintain unity in the community. Today we are divided based on any simple reason possible. People are found who can talk and work for unity. One is afraid of speaking and working for unity for such a people have no place in the world. The people who unite are rare and those divides are many.

The rationale employed to unite the people of God was on the basis that we are part of the body of Jesus. We have one God, hope, faith and one baptism. These things convinced people to work for unity. These things are lasting values on which we can build unity in the faith community.

Do we humble ourselves to bring unity?

  3 rd February 2024 4th Week: Ordinary Time Monday Heb 11:32-40 Mediations Let us Go on God's Way! Great men and women in the history of God’s plan suffered. Suffering for the cause of God and doing great things for the Lord is no avail. It may not make one perfect in life. Doing great things for God without God’s hand and his way is useless. One has to suffer rightly for the cause of God, and it is God who gives us perfection through his grace. It is not that we have gained perfection through our efforts.   3rd Week Tuesday of Ordinary Time Year One Heb 10:1-10 Meditation Dance in the Presence of God! The priests' offerings of the day need to be offered for sin to be forgiven every year. Once forgiven, one’s conscience should not weigh them down for every sin. Sin leads to evil and death. Forgiveness of sin leads to life. Sin can be forgiven through fasts, penances and offerings to God. Jesus has come to forgive sins, and his forgiveness is accomplished by doing the will of God. Jesus, by doing the will of God, once and for all, forgave the sins of humanity. It is the will of God that Jesus, by his obedience to the will of the Father, die and bring salvation for eternity.
