God will Gather the Sons of Jacob

Gather sons of Jacob and listen to the words of your fathers.  Take courage and overcome all the hurdles for power and rule will not pass from Judah. People of every nation will render obedience to the Lord. The Lord will come to rule his people.  God’s people will be protected and strengthened.

The Lord comes to guard, protect and give back the lost hope in the Lord. He will rule over his people from generation to generation. They will be obedient to him.  The Lord assures his people of safety and security. God takes care of the human needs of every kind. At his coming, all will have the courage to face life.

Do we place our hope in the Lord?

Meditation

…Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah. (Mt 1:16)

Jacob was the blessed one of God. Joseph means God will add. Mary represents the beloved of God. Jesus means Saviour and Messiah. These names have meaning and power. They played a vital role in the salvation plan of God. We need to learn from them and imitate them in our lives. We must pray to them and seek their help in our spiritual lives. In particular to Jesus, Mary and Joseph. The preparation for Advent is to meet them at the crib and get their blessings on Christmas night.

Do we meditate on the life events of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph at Christmas?

Jesus once and for all offered the sacrifice and is now seated at the right hand of God. He is waiting for the enemy's fall and eternal life for all creation. It is true that Jesus has reconciled humanity with God once and for all. God has reconciled us to the Father, and we can be set free. We are liberated people of the Lord.
