Do we Resist Sin?
4th Week Tuesday of Ordinary Time
Year One
Heb 12:1-4
Meditation
Do we Resist Sin?
Christians have run with faith in
the struggle of life. The weight of sin
will be on us, but have faith in Jesus and endure it. Jesus accepted death as a
shameful death for the sake of sinners, and now he is seated at the right hand
of God. Jesus withstood with endurance against his persecutor and sinners. He has not lost hope in God and the struggle of
life for the salvation of humanity. We must struggle against sin, even to the point of shedding blood.
Do we struggle to resist sin?
Year Two
2 Sam 18:9-10, 14, 24-25, 30-19:3
Absalom fell into the hands of his father, David, and killed
Joab. Sometimes, the lives of some leaders, great people and
mighty people end interestingly. Absalom had long hair, and the hair
got caught in the thick bushes, and he fell into the hands of the enemy and was
killed. The end of every simple or mighty person comes unexpectedly. We
are not sure of the next moment of our existence.
Even David tells his soldiers to care for Absalom, but he
gets killed. Absalom rose against his father, David. David loved him very much
at the death news of Absalom, David moans. Human pride and arrogance can
destroy us and harm others. Let us be humble and learn to face God, others, and
ourselves with a humble attitude.
Do we have the humility to accept the end days of our life?
Gospel: Mk 5:21-43
He said to her, ‘Daughter, your
faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.’ (Mk 5:
34)
Jesus was going to heal a sick
girl, but on the way, a woman touched him and healed her. Jesus, knowing that
his power had gone out, asked the crowd who touched him. The woman accepted
that she touched him with faith, and she was made well. Jesus told her that her
faith made her well. Jesus is ready to do good to all who contact him.
Do we believe Jesus can do multiple
miracles?
