March 5 Meditation: Live in Grace of God!

For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous but the way of the wicked will perish(Ps 1:6).

In the world there are righteous people and wicked people. All love to be good and not wicked. One does wicked things knowingly or unknowingly and longs to avoid to be wicked life. It is a struggle one has to live to be good and holy. The Lord looks kindly on those who long to come out of their wickedness. But those who persist in wickedness will perish. Do we like to be perish or live in grace of God? Fr Putti Anthaiah Sdb

  33rd    week Thursday in Ordinary Time Year One 1 Macc 2:15-29 Meditation God Gives Courage to Follow His Laws! Mattathias and sons were asked to give up the law of the their ancestor but they chose not to give up the law of God.   Some are given zest and zeal for the law of God and his commandments. Mattathias and sons were ready to suffer and fight against the king taking extreme step to attack the king’s official instead of giving up the law they learned and valued for life. This great zeal and love for the love of God’s law shows their commitment to God and values of life.  ]The committed life of Mattathias and sons shows the human beings love for God and for his law. Humans are not just weak and fragile persons. The Lord is My Light!

  December 5 Meditation The Lord is My Light! Ps 27:1 The Lord is my light and my Salvation: whom shall I fear? The Lord is the Stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Ps 27:1) We see in the light things clearly. We have clarity of things in the light, and we make right judgement of things in the light. The external light makes the vision clear.   The internal light of the mind enables us to make right decisions.   The one who possess the light will have Salvation and need not have any fear of darkness.   There is fear in darkness. The fear of darkness should lead us to seek and be in the light of the Lord. The Lord, who is light, will be with us to accompany us along the path of eternity. Do we seek light or darkness?
